BitTorrent Pro-Torrenting Billboards

Recently debuted in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, BitTorrents has brought up the piracy debate with their new ads. These ads show how the company is attempting to align itself with artists and the interests of the people, but other detractors still feel that these ads endorse the type of “piracy” which BitTorrent is known for promoting.

What do you guys think?

"Innovation over imitation. Quality over quantity. Passion over profit" you can read on Kixeye’s wall. Blizzard’s offices looks like an elite Dungeons and Dragons players club, Valve’s offices are like an FPS game map.
More galleries of gaming companies’ offices, here.

This brilliant artists shows us hoe he sees depression, anxiety, paranoia and other psychological challenges as (almost cute) strikingly adequate characters. These pieces go together with a perfect short description or character profile of these little monsters. Introspection has never been cuter.

zestydoesthings:

The Real Monsters are reborn!

Upon getting so much attention for my previous designs, I wanted to redesign the monsters and develop the concept a little more. You’ll notice most of the monsters have subtle alterations and the descriptions have been changed to better reflect my original concepts.

Over the coming weeks I will release more (never seen before) monsters and will also release concept sketches and developmental work for each monster shown here- So stay tuned! (They may also be little animations…)

Disclaimer: The artwork is not at all intended to make light of these conditions but instead is intended to give these intangible mental illnesses some substance and make them appear more managable as physical entities.

This is a video of Stan Lee, explaining how he got to think up the “science” behind super heroes, and admitting Spiderman (and I hope Hulk) have ridiculous backgrounds.
But he’s basically bashing DC Comics here for not providing background behind Superman’s flying and lack of propelant. On the other side, he provides Mjölnir [Thor’s hammer] pull as the reason [but never mentions precision] behind Thor’s flying.

The more brilliant Half-Life fan made short films I see, the more I’m swaying towards how a film remake might not be too bad of an idea. Then again, I would not like to hear Gordon talk.
This one is called Half-Life:Raise the Bar.

The wonderful Allie Brosh is back with the second installment in her poignant illustrated account of what depression actually feels like. Pair with Bobby Baker’s visual diary of mental illness and children’s self-portraits of autism.

My ship is bigger than yours, or a real life size comparison of fictional space ships. Its done by Dirk Loechel, who probably has some awesome form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder that made him do this painstaking work that we’re thankful for.The chart features ships from: Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, EVE Online, Warhammer 40.000, Babylon 5m, Robotech/Macrossm, Halo,Battlestar Galactica, Firefly/Serenity, Farscape, Titan A.E., Legend of Galactic Heroes, Starship Troopers and tons others.

[Short film] A Tale of Benjen Stark
This is a brilliantly made short (fan made) film as a spin-off story of a frequently mentioned character that never got much of page-time, (uncle) Benjen Stark.
Now, this does not go much further than most assumptions made when thinking about this particular Stark, but the sound, photography, editing and make up are wonderfully executed.

This is a beautiful infograpic of Earth’s space exploration, with the missions to the different bodies in the Solar System. As one can see, our focus and funds are spent mostly on the rocks, and comparatively there’s little exploration of the actual planets [right half]. That right half’s satellites are the truly interesting rocky surfaces to explore, but sadly our rovers are not quite there yet. It is not shown here, but the beautiful Voyager 1 recently left the Solar System and we can see it radioing as a pretty blue dot.

I wonder if this counts as creative use of empty space, or only genius design.
